1. About Us

Hembe is a Zimbabwe-inspired apparel brand selling t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and custom garments through our online store at hembe.co.uk. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

2. Eligibility

By using hembe.co.uk, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian, and that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

3. Your Account

You may browse and purchase from Hembe as a guest or by creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts, refuse service, or cancel orders at our sole discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms.

4. Products

We make every effort to display our products accurately, including colours, sizing, and descriptions. However, we cannot guarantee that your device's screen accurately reflects the exact colours of our garments. Minor variations in colour between product images and physical items are not considered defects.

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or change product specifications at any time without notice.

5. Pricing

All prices on hembe.co.uk are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price charged for your order will be the price displayed at the time you placed it.

In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund. We will notify you promptly if this occurs.

6. Orders and Contract Formation

Placing an order on hembe.co.uk constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract between you and Hembe is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason, including but not limited to stock unavailability, suspected fraud, or pricing errors.

You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address and contact details you provide are accurate. Hembe cannot be held liable for orders lost or delayed due to incorrect information provided at checkout.

7. Payment

We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, Diners Club, Discover, and Union Pay.

Payment is taken at the time your order is placed. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify's payment infrastructure. Hembe does not store your full card details.

Klarna: If you choose to pay using Klarna, your agreement is with Klarna and their terms apply. Please ensure you understand your Klarna payment obligations before completing your purchase.

8. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 2–5 business days. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed. Hembe is not responsible for delays caused by the postal service, customs, or events outside our control.

Free delivery is available on orders over £100. Delivery charges for orders below this threshold are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes imposed by the destination country. These charges are the customer's responsibility and are not included in our prices or delivery charges.

9. Custom Apparel

Our custom apparel service allows you to order personalised garments for events, businesses, and special occasions. The following terms apply to all custom orders:

You are responsible for providing accurate information, artwork, and specifications when placing a custom order. We will send you a design proof for approval before production begins. You must review the proof carefully — once approved, we cannot make changes and production cannot be cancelled.

Custom items cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty or differ materially from the approved proof. Additional design charges may apply depending on the complexity of your requirements. Turnaround times for custom orders are provided at the time of ordering and are estimates only.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on hembe.co.uk — including but not limited to our designs, logos, graphics, photographs, text, and the "Hembe" brand name — is the intellectual property of Hembe and is protected by UK and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, or exploit any content from our website without our prior written permission. Our Zimbabwe-inspired designs are original creative works and any unauthorised reproduction or imitation is strictly prohibited.

Purchasing a Hembe product does not grant you any intellectual property rights in our designs. You may wear and gift our products but may not reproduce the designs for commercial purposes.

11. User Conduct

When using hembe.co.uk, you agree not to:

Use the website for any unlawful purpose
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
Reproduce, copy, or sell any content from our website without permission

Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
